Breast Augmentation (Silicone Implants)

Breast augmentation is a highly rewarding surgical procedure designed to enhance the size, shape, fullness, and symmetry of the breasts. Utilizing modern, cohesive silicone gel implants, this procedure restores lost breast volume following weight loss or pregnancy, corrects natural structural asymmetries, and enhances your body’s overall proportions.

Today’s advanced silicone implants are engineered to look, move, and feel remarkably like natural breast tissue, offering stable, long-lasting contouring tailored specifically to your unique anatomy.

Quick Facts

Surgery Time

1 to 2 hours

Anesthesia

General Anesthesia

Stay Required

Outpatient (same-day discharge)

Initial Recovery

5 to 7 days for initial downtime; return to desk work within a week

Final Results

Breasts drop and soften into their natural profile over 2 to 3 months; incision lines fade beautifully over 6 to 12 months

Customizing Your Results: Implant Profile & Placement

There is no “one-size-fits-all” approach. Your procedure is fully customized based on your existing breast tissue, chest wall dimensions, and personal aesthetic goals

Silicone Gel Technology (Cohesive “Gummy Bear” Gel)

    1. Modern implants utilize a highly cohesive silicone gel. The silicone behaves like a solid rather than a liquid, allowing it to hold its shape beautifully over time.
    2. If the implant shell is ever compromised, the cohesive gel stays safely bound together inside, providing a soft, natural texture with an excellent long-term safety profile.

Implant Placement (Where does the implant sit?)

  • Submuscular (Under the Muscle): The implant is tucked underneath the pectoral chest muscle.
    • Advantage: Provides maximum soft-tissue coverage over the top of the implant, creating a very natural, gradual slope. It significantly minimizes the risk of visible implant edges (rippling).
  • Subglandular (Over the Muscle): The implant is placed directly behind the natural breast tissue but on top of the pectoral muscle.
    • Advantage: Can accommodate natural breast sagging slightly better and involves a quicker, less tight muscular recovery.

Incision Approach (Where is the scars?)

Incisions are meticulously placed within natural skin folds to ensure your results remain beautifully discreet.

Inframammary Fold (IMF): The incision is hidden neatly within the natural crease right beneath the breast. This is the most common approach as it provides the surgeon with maximum visibility and accuracy.

Step-by-Step: What Happens During Surgery?

Step 1: Relaxation & Comfort

You are placed safely under general anesthesia, ensuring you are completely asleep and feel absolutely zero pain throughout the procedure.

Step 2: Creating the Access

The surgeon makes the chosen hidden incision (typically in the fold beneath the breast) to access the underlying structures.

Step 3: Creating the Pocket

A precise space or "pocket" is sculpted either beneath the breast tissue or underneath the pectoral muscle to house the implant safely.

Step 4: Meticulous Placement

The silicone implant is gently inserted and positioned. The surgeon evaluates your chest symmetry while you are positioned appropriately on the table to ensure optimal balance and projection.

Step 5: Layered Closure

The pocket and skin are closed using deep, dissolvable internal stitches. The skin is sealed with fine sutures or skin glue, and a supportive surgical bra is applied
